Manchester – Turning people on to active transport
One day course July 16th
There is a growing awareness of the value of physical and leisure time activity within the health and a major opportunity for people taking more physical activity is through
Walking, cycling and using public transport as well.
Course Aims:
- To identify the benefits for personal and environmental health of adopting active forms of transport
- To practice motivational interviewing in this field
- To identify safe, useful and attractive walking and cycling routes in Manchester.
Target Audience: For frontline workers and volunteers in health, welfare and advice centres, as well as leisure services and any community-based projects, working with individual clients (adults and children) and groups.
