Improving services for disabled people
The Disability Rights Commission and Department of Health have jointly produced a series of advice leaflets and guides for staff and managers working in the health sector.
The guides explain some of the approaches that will help health workers improve the experience of disabled patients, their families and visitors. They also provide details about meeting obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act (DDA).
Two guides are available from the Department of Health Publications Orderline:
- You can make a difference: improving hospital services for disabled people (when ordering quote: 40210)
- You can make a difference: improving primary care services for disabled people (when ordering quote: 40581)
